THERAPY

Do you take insurance?
No. Dr. Conrad does not work with insurance companies. Payment is due at the time of booking. If you would like a superbill, she can provide one on request, and what you do with it is up to you.

How much does therapy cost?
Individual and couples sessions by video are $250 per hour. Experiential sessions are $150 per 30 minutes. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before your first session. Learn more about Good Faith Estimates.

Where do sessions take place?
Most sessions are by secure video for clients located in Florida at the time of each session. Experiential sessions take place in person at outdoor locations throughout Florida.

What are experiential sessions?
Experiential sessions take therapy outside the office. Depending on the client and the goals of treatment, sessions may take place while walking, kayaking, or paddleboarding, or may incorporate yoga. Working side by side in a new setting often helps people open up, try new ways of relating, and practice skills in real time. Experiential sessions are $150 per 30 minutes.

How often will we meet?
Most individual clients meet weekly, though some come more often during a difficult stretch and others less often as things improve. Many couples come in crisis, so couples sessions are at least weekly and often twice a week or more.

What do you treat?
Anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, sexual concerns, compulsive sexual behavior, relationship patterns, and major life transitions. With couples, Dr. Conrad treats infidelity, betrayal, emotional shutdown, chronic conflict, and differences in desire.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice are refunded. Late cancellations and missed sessions are not refunded.

COSTA RICA INTENSIVES

How are the intensives different from therapy?
The couples intensive is psychoeducational and the individual intensive is coaching. Neither is psychotherapy. They teach skills and help you set direction, while therapy treats clinical concerns over time. If you need therapy, Dr. Conrad will tell you.

How does the couples intensive work?
It starts with a consultation call with both partners to confirm the intensive is a good fit and to set your goals. The intensive runs two days, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an hour for lunch, and combines teaching drawn from Gottman research with exercises the two of you complete together. Two follow-up coaching sessions by video are included.

How does the individual intensive work?
It starts with a consultation call to confirm the intensive is a good fit and to set your goals. Over two days, Dr. Conrad combines practical teaching on goals, decisions, stress, and habits with one-on-one coaching. You leave with a written plan, and two follow-up coaching sessions by video are included.

Is the couples intensive right for us?
It is designed for couples who want to reconnect, communicate better, and build lasting skills. It is not the right fit for couples in active crisis, or where there is abuse, active addiction, or untreated mental health concerns. In those cases, couples therapy is the better first step.

What if my partner is reluctant?
It’s common for one partner to be reluctant. If both of you are willing to participate, it is appropriate to schedule. A free 15-minute consultation can help you decide.

What is included in the price?
The consultation call, two full days of programming, all materials, and two follow-up coaching sessions. You arrange your own travel, lodging, meals, and activities.

What is the cancellation policy for the intensives?
Payment in full is due at booking. Half of the fee is a non-refundable deposit that reserves your dates. If you cancel or reschedule 30 or more days before your intensive, you may move your full payment to a new date once within six months, or receive a refund of everything beyond the deposit. Cancellations within 30 days are not refunded or rescheduled. If Dr. Conrad needs to cancel, you will receive a full refund of the intensive fee. Dr. Conrad is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other costs you arrange, so travel insurance is recommended.

Do I need to live in Florida?
Not for the Costa Rica intensives or coaching, which are open to anyone. Therapy is only available to clients located in Florida.

GENERAL

Do you offer coaching outside Florida?
